ABOUT

I am an artist/educator and a long-term resident of Brooklyn, NY with a BFA from Suny-Purchase and an MFA from CUNY-Queens College. I instruct college students of Brooklyn and Newark in studio arts and art survey.

My art project, the Anna Pierrepont Series, is the subject of a two person exhibition 'Chaotic Memory' in April/May 2024 at the Kirkland Art Center in Clinton, NY. The series was also the subject of a solo exhibition entitled ‘Monumental Follies’ at the Fairfield University Art Museum 2020. Works from the series have been included in group exhibitions such as the SECAC 2023 Conference Exhibition in Richmond, Va., ‘Who Writes History’ at ArtsWestchester in 2022, ‘Darkest Before Dawn’ at Kube Beacon in 2022, ‘!!PUBLIC ART???’ at Ramapo College in 2019, 'Public Discourse' at the Riverview Art Center in Lynchburg, Va in 2019 and others. Works from the series have graced the covers of seven magazines, most prominently Carolina Quarterly in Winter 2021. Pictorial essays such as ‘Robert E. Lee and the New Iconoclasm’ have been published in Jugaad Projects in Spring 2023, 'Death Wish' in Slag Glass City in 2020 and ‘Erasure’ in Newfound Journal in 2015. Magazine surveys such as ‘Letter to America' in Arterrain in 2021 have also been published. I am a recipient of grants from the Mozaik and Puffin Foundations in 2022 and completed an in person residency at Kunstram in Brooklyn in 2023.
